Wichita Falls QB David Short named league MVP

The voting went as follows in the MPFL MVP race:

1. David Short - QB -Wichita Falls Vipers -led MPFL in passing

2. Dale Kindred - WR/FS/KR - San Antonio Warriors - great WR, PR, and FS

3. Chad Thompson - RB - West Texas Drillers - led MPFL in rushing

Northern Conference Defensive Player of the Year

Winner - Mike Heetland - MLB West Texas Drillers - 20 plus TFL

2. Raymond Davis - CB - Waco Thunder - 5 int returns for TD

3. Lloyd Taylor - DE - El Paso Seminoles - 12.5 sacks led MPFL

Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year

Winner - Dale Kindred - FS - San Antonio Warriors - 8 ints, 2 ret for TD

2. Marcelino Llanos - DE - Edinburg Landsharks - led S.Conf. in sacks with 12

3. Jared McGarrity - FS - CenTex Mavs - led MPFL in interceptions
