RUSH HOME AGAINST JOLIET SATURDAY NIGHT

The Rush (2-0, 5-0) returns home this weekend, hosting the Joliet Buccaneers (0-3, 3-3) Saturday night in Pecatonica.

After starting 2-0 and last week's much anticipated game against the Leyden Lions being postponed , the Rush is setting its sights on extending their lead in the Chicago Land Division.

Joliet, on the other hand, is struggling through a terrible season. The Buccaneers started their season with 3 straight preseason victories, but lost all three of their regular season games and haven't been able to recover. This will mark the third time these teams have met, with Roscoe winning the previous two meetings.

During half time of this week's game the Class of 2010 will be inducted into the Roscoe Rush Hall of Fame.

Help For Today...Hope For Tomorrow 

The RUSH family is asking for your help during the 2010 season. I have had the privilege of meeting a great family this past year.  The Hubert's are your typical down to earth family. Jake and Kelly have been married for five years and reside in Roscoe, IL.  They have two beautiful daughters, Livia (Liv) who is 3 and Finley (1), which keep them going. Liv is also my son's girlfriend.

On July 8, 2009 Liv was diagnosedwith Sanfilippo Syndrome or MPS. Sanfilippo Syndrome is an inherited disease of metabolism that makes the body unable to to properly break down long chains of sugar molecules. As of now, there is no cure or treatment for Sanfilippo which is a terminal disease. Most commonly children do not live past their early teens. Everyday is a gift for any child with Sanfilippo.

We need to come together for the Hubert's and other families that have children with Sanfilippo. The funds for research are minimal since Sanfilippo is very rare. Our goal is to raise awareness and to raise funds to support research to find a cure so these families can realize their dreams. As many of us have children or know of someone with children, we need to
come together as humans to help out! Any amount donated is greatly appreciated and 100% of your donations will go to the Liv Life Foundation. The Rush will collect donations all season long and present the Hubert's with a check at the last home game.
